Our 2012 registration dates are Wednesday 18th January 6-8pm,
Saturday 21st January 9-12 noon, Friday 27th January 6-8pm and
Saturday 28th January 9am-12 noon at 115 Bath Road, Kirrawee.
All interested families are invited to come along and have a personalised tour of our Kirrawee studios
on these dates.
Martial Arts Overview
There is a range of Martial Arts classes available at Ettingshausen’s Dynamic Arts catering for different levels from Pre School to Adults.
Students have various opportunities throughout the year to participate in seminars, gradings and competitions locally and Interstate. The style of Karate Do practiced is Shotokan, and EDA is affiliated to the Shotokan Karate Coalition (SKC). The Chief Instructor of the SKC is Sensei Keith Geyer a 7th dan Black belt who resides in Melbourne, Victoria.
The Head Instructor of the dojo is Michael Ettingshausen, who is a 5th dan black belt and has been studying Shotokan karate for 25years. Michael has been a qualified fitness instructor for 12 years and a registered personal trainer. He has instructed Karate full time for 14 years. Australian Champion 8 times and NSW champion 12 times, Michael has captained the Australian team on 3 occasions and competed in 8 World Championships.
There are also other instructors at EDA, together they work as a dynamic team to ensure the high standards required in their art. Click on our instructors page for information on them, they each have years of experience in teaching students of all ages.
