At Ettingshausen’s Dynamic Arts, we have two performance teams which represent our studio at various competitions and events throughout the year.

Selection is via an audition workshop at the start of each year. This team consists of students aged 3 to 9 years who currently learn jazz and classical ballet at Ettingshausen’s Dynamic Arts. Boys need to learn jazz or funk to be eligible to audition. Classical Ballet requirements as follows:

The children selected may be chosen for many reasons such as:
- Show potential in dance and performance
- Outgoing/ confident
- Concentrate in class every week
- Good at following instructions
- Remember routines well
- Love being at dancing and want to perform more
- Are capable/ talented but are still developing confidence on stage
- Need extra challenges on top of their class work

All Dynamites students attend a weekly class on a Friday afternoon, in addition to their regular classes. This is a performance- based class where learning is directly linked to performing or a particular performance.
EDANCE
Selection for this, our senior performance team, is by audition or invitation and involves students aged 9 to 16 years. Students are required to attend a weekly class on a Friday afternoon, in addition to regular classes.
To be eligible for selection into edance, students are required to be enrolled in the following classes: One competition jazz class and two ballet classes per week.
Students in Edance will enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging environment. it is a performance-based class which transcends age group limits and incorporates styles popular with students such as funk, hip hop, jazz and musical theatre. As well as dance, students will have the opportunity to develop their singing skills as this is often a desired skill for the performance industry.
In previous years, performances have included the Opening Ceremony of the JKA Karate World Cup, Intercoiffure- International Hair Show, a tour to China to perform at the Shanghai Tourism Festival, numerous Christmas shows throughout Sydney, Canberra and the Central Coast as well as various performances at charity events- to name a few.
In 2008, EDA also took our Edance team of dancers and familites to the USA. The team performed at Fisherma's Wharf San Francisco, Disneyland and California Adventure Park. During their trip they attended mind-blowing classess and workshops at Lines Ballet School Sanfrancisco, Millenium Dance Complex in Hollywood, The Edge LA, and Disneyland. So much was learnt on this trip, I am sure a experience they will never forget.
Interest in our Performance Teams should be registered upon enrolment.
